  • wortbasar.ffii.org (~2000) - early FFII campaign for free German dictionary ressources

  • CJK - The FFII provides webhosting for a LaTeX 2e macro package which enables the use of CJK scripts (Chinese/Japanese/Korean) in various encodings, written by Werner Lemberg.

  • Groff - The FFII hosts the famous groff tool. the groff (GNU Troff) software is a typesetting package which reads plain text mixed with formatting commands and produces formatted output. Groff now supports HTML.

  • UMI (Universal Media Interface, Thomas Tanner)
  • MHLT - Multilingualer Hypertext
  • c42pdf, transformation tool for document scans, used by document delivery services such as subito at German University libraries
